Death's Door Prods

James Gunn and Max Landis Going to MorrisonCon

I think it goes without saying at this point but I love Grant Morrison. I have loved everything of his I’ve ever read and he’s been the only guy to make Superman interesting to read. Now I hear that Morrison is going to be holding his own convention. Dubbed MorrisonCon, Morrison says that this won’t be your average, everyday comic convention. He says that “after two days you will be a changed person.” He’s got some pretty big names coming out for this, too. Robert Kirkman, Jim Lee, Jonathan Hickman, and many more will be heading out to Las Vegas for this con.

The two most recent additions to the lineup are James Gunn, director of Slither and Super, and Max Landis, writer of Chronicle and The Death and Return of Superman. They will be joining Morrison on Saturday at 3PM for Celluloid Heroes: Comics’ Love Affair with Hollywood. The panel will “explore the history of this love affair and the controversial links between these sister industries,” and look at how “the narrative form [must] be reinvented” for both industries.

MorrisonCon will be held at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas September 28th-30th. More information and tickets are available at MorrisonCon.com.
