Blood-C’s Kotone to Draws Red Data Girl Manga

The December issue of Monthly Shonen Jump began its serialization on Friday of Ranmaru Kotone’s (Blood-C) manga adaptation of Noriko Ogiwara’s RDG Red Data Girl light novel series.

The story revolves around Izumiko Suzuhara, who has been raised from birth in Tamakura Shrine, one of the Kumano World Heritage site, until middle school when she and her childhood friend decide to go to high school in Tokyo. While there, a mysterious entity known as Himegami appears and a tragic accident occurs. It turns out that Izumiko’s family carries a dark secret that she is about to learn.

The light novels originally launched in June 2011, and there is an anime series in the works with no word on a release date.
