Mirror’s Edge 2 in Development says Ex-EA Developer
Released in 2008, Mirror’s Edge was a first person platformer set in an Orwellian-like police state, where the business of contraband trafficking was carried out by a bunch of people who knew parkour. You take on the role of one of those such people and run a lot. The game received a positive reception from most, due largely to its novel game mechanics, but did not seem to sell well enough to merit a sequel. Of course that cannot put a stop to rumors.
Benjamin Cousins (currently at ngmoco), a former developer at EA for the Battlefield series, recently tweeted:
It is general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror's Edge 2 is in production at DICE http://t.co/ck5DGqP3

Whether or not you choose to believe him is completely up to you, but Kotaku seems to think you should. So, you never know, you may just get to go running across rooftops in an impossibly clean city in the near future.
