Capcom Announces Street Fighter x Mega Man

Street Fighter is a series that has been giving so much to its fans it’s ridiculous. Seriously, if you go back and look at the promotional materials, not to mention all the updates for new games and re-releases of fan favorites, it’s pretty insane. But not much love has been given for the Blue Bomber. Sure there was Mega Man 9 and 10 a few years back but we haven’t gotten much since then. I’m not the only one who thinks this, as one huge Capcom went and made himself a new Mega Man game. Also Street Fighter’s in it.

Seow “Sonic” Zong Hui, a professional competitive gamer and uber-Capcom fan, made a game called Street Fighter x Mega Man. The game is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of both franchises which are happening this year, oddly enough. The game is a classic 8-bit looking Mega Man game. Players will play as Mega Man as he fights his way through eight worlds to defeat eight bosses. But this time the bosses aren’t robots. They’re Street Fighter characters.

Yes, Mega Man will be fighting Ryu, Ken, Chun-li, Blanka, and four World Warriors will take the place of the Robot Masters and try to stop Mega Man from saving the world or whatever it is he does in those games. I’m not exactly up on my Mega Man Lore.

Street Fighter x Mega Man will be coming to PC next Monday, December 17th, for free. This is officially the coolest thing ever. Check out the trailer for it below.
