Lex Luthor and Bane Join the Injustice Roster
The roster for NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us is filling out nicely. Since the announcement of the initial roster of six DC heroes and villains, an additional seven have been added to line-up rounding it off at a nice 13. The list was favoring the heroes, though, as their were only five villains. Now, with the recent addition of two new fighters, the roster increases to 15 and evens things out a bit.
Ed Boon, NetherRealm studio head and creative director on Injustice, tweeted the following earlier this week, confirming that Lex Luthor and Bane have been added to the list of playable characters.

As we can see, Luthor is rocking his power armor and Bane has huge weak spo- I mean tubes shooting out of him, looking similar in that regard to how he looked in Arkham Asylum. Judging by how these two characters are absolutely huge I’m going to take an educated guess that they are going to be heavy fighters, not fast or agile but able to do massive amounts of damage is their attacks connect.
For those who don’t know, Lex Luthor is a long time Superman villain with no real powers. He’s also given himself cancer a few times by carrying around a piece of kryptonite, one of Superman’s weaknesses and something that is also highly radioactive. Bane is best known as the Man Who Broke the Bat. During the storyline Knightfall, Bane figures out Batman’s secret identity and attacks him at Wayne Manor. The fight ends with Bane breaking Batman’s back over his knee and paralyzing him from the waist down.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is set for release in April, 2013 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U.
