Next Assassin’s Creed Won’t Star Connor and Has New Setting
Ubisoft kinda blew its character load with Ezio Auditore, didn’t they? They gave this guy an entire trilogy within the series, and I guess the dev team used up all of their character creativeness with him and all the supporting cast, because Connor has basically no character whatsoever. I would fucking hate the guy if his dull monotone didn’t put me to sleep every time I heard it. Well, I guess it’s a good thing we won’t be seeing him anymore.
Ubisoft announced last week at an earnings call that they are working on the next installment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise. Considering again what they did with Ezio, you would expect that the next game would have you playing as Connor again. But nope, this new game will have you playing as a different ancestor of the increasingly terrible looking Desmond Miles. Also, say good to the Revolutionary War, because this new game will be moving to a different historical period.
The company didn’t give a specific release date, but did say that the game would be coming in the next fiscal year which ends in March , 2014.
