Borderlands 2 Announced

Yesterday, 2K announced that the sequel to Gearbox’s pretty awesome action role-playing game Borderlands will be getting a proper sequel in the next year or two.

According to the announcement that came along with the September cover of Game Informer, the new game will not just be a $60 gun expansion pack. It will have “new and more diverse environments, smarter and more powerful enemies, and an improved mission system capable of delivering a better story.” Hopefully this means that the story will not be text screens and the occasional flickery lady face in the corner of the screen.

According to Destructoid, the game will also feature a new cast of characters and skills. Hopefully there is still a guy with a bird. I really liked that bird.
