Jada Pinkett Smith Joins Gotham
In the last few weeks a lot of people have been cast in Fox’s upcoming pre-Batman Batman show, Gotham. We got Robin Lord Taylor as the Penguin, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, and Ben McKenzie as a young Jim Gordon. Now we have a new face on the cast, and it’s someone I wasn’t expecting to see (hence why I’m reporting on it when I didn’t report on anyone else. Also see I’m bad at my job).
Variety is reporting that Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of Will Smith, has joined the cast of the Bruno Heller penned crime series. She will be playing Fish Mooney, a sadistic crime boss with a bit of a temper who is also the boss of Oswald Cobblebot, a.k.a. the Penguin. From what I can gather Mooney is an original character created for the show.
No word on when the show will be premiering.
