Persona 5, Spin-off Titles Coming to North America

Late last year, Atlus finally announced Persona 5 and a bunch of new spin-off titles for release in Japan later this year. Like everyone else, I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for Atlus to announce North American release dates for the games, and this week they delivered.

Atlus has announced that the next installment in the main Persona line is coming to North America in 2015, still exclusive to the PS3. That is still the weirdest thing about the announcement, though. We have a new generation of consoles out now, so why are they still making things for the old generation?

Release windows were also announced for the three spin-offs. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, the Etrian Odyssey-based dungeon crawler with characters from P3 and P4, is coming in fall 2014 to the 3DS. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, the sequel to the 2012 fighting game, is also coming in fall 2014 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Persona 4: Dancing All Night, the Hatsune Miku-style game co-developed with Dingo, is set for release in 2015 for the PS Vita.
