Paramount Announces TMNT Sequel

tmntpost

You all knew this was going to happen. Even though the movie has been critically panned, currently rated 20%, the movie opened real big so of course this is happening. Doesn’t stop me from being incredibly sad about it.

Paramount has announced that they are working on a sequel to their most recent butchering of a classic, nostalgic franchise that was made by Michael Bay. Just a couple of days after the premiere, the studio announced that it has tapped Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec, two of the three screenwriters of the first film, to write a sequel which they are planning to release on June 3rd, 2016.

In a statement from Paramount, president Adam Goodman said…

Launching a new take on the Turtles into the feature film world was a daunting task because as fans of them ourselves, we felt a great responsibility to ensure audiences were going to experience everything they loved about the Turtles, while also getting to see them brought to life in a way they had never been seen before. The result exceeded our high expectations and the response to the film is beyond great, making it all the more fun to get started on the continuation of their story.

This all just makes me really depressed.
