Henry Simmons, Luke Mitchell Become Series Regulars in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The second season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. introduced a bunch of new characters from the great Calvin Zabo to the short lived but pretty cool Robert Gonzales, but only two of them (so far, anyway) have been bumped up to series regulars for the next season.

Marvel has announced that Henry Simmons and Luke Mitchell, who played Mack and Lincoln, will be joining the cast full-time for the third season of the ABC series. For those who don’t know, Mack is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent introduced in season two who helped Fitz with his brain problems, did maintenance work on the plane, and really wanted to work on Coulson’s car. He has received much love from the show’s fanbase, and had one of the best moments in the entire series in the season finale.

Lincoln is an Inhuman who helped Skye (do we call her Daisy now?) learn to control her powers, introduced her to Inhuman society, helped save the day in the season finale, and is hot. So that’s probably why he’s sticking around.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for its third season this September on ABC.
