It Is Official, Steam Codes Hit GameStop Stores

It was originally reported last week by Kotaku that GameStop would start selling Steam code cards. It was announced today by GameStop in a press release.

The program is being called “Steam Wallet” and the code cards will be sold at $20 or $50. You will be able to use the cards to access Steam’s “more than 1,800 titles,” GameStop said. The Steam cards will be found is some 4,400 GameStop store starting today.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Valve on this new initiative,” GameStop’s Steve Nix said in the press release. “This gives even more options to customers now that they can put money in their Steam Wallet using cash, gift cards or trade credits through our convenient neighborhood locations.”
