Joss Whedon Talks About Avengers 2

Just before the premiere of The Avengers two weeks ago The Los Angeles Times had an interview with Whedon and just recently it came to light online about the possibility of him helming the sequel The Avengers 2.

“You know, I’m very torn. It’s an enormous amount of work telling what is ultimately somebody else’s story, even though I feel like I did get to put myself into it.” Whedon said, “But at the same time, I have a bunch of ideas, and they all seem really cool.”

It seems like maybe right now he sin’t too worried about directing the sequel, after all The Avengers did just release in theaters. Maybe after sometime off and some more thinking of the cool ideas he has he will see that he is what is needed for the sequel.

Whedon also mentioned while speaking to Speaking with Entertainment Weekly (with Scarlett Johansson), he would like to see more females involved with the sequel.

“Studios will tell you: ‘A woman cannot headline an action movie.’ After The Hunger Games they might stop telling you that a little bit. Whatever you think of the movie, it’s done a great service. And after The Avengers, I think it’s changing.”

Maybe we will see a Ms. Marvel movie and have her added to the cast in The Avengers 2? What female from The Avengers would you like to see in the sequel and maybe a movie about?
