DeadMark Waid, creative editor for Boom! and writer of the fantastic series Irredeemable and Incorruptible, is going to be starting a new project soon. With both of his series coming to a close very soon, he needs something new. And Boom! had just the project for him. Earlier today Boom! released this visual press release:
So it seems Mark Waid will be working with the famous Steed and Mrs. Peel of the original Avengers. For those who don’t know what the original Avengers was, Wikipedia says it was a British spy show about a secret agent for an unknown branch of the British government named John Steed and his assistant, usually a smart and strong woman. In the case of the comic Boom! already produces and the movie from 1998 they went with Emma Peel.
The visual press release only came with that image, so we don’t know much about the project. It could be a continuation of the Steed and Mrs. Peel books that Boom! has been publishing or it could be a new thing with one of Steed’s other lady friends.
