Call Of Duty Trial May End In Settlement

At a 9am hearing this morning in the case of Activision, ex-Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vincent Zampell, and 40 other former developers of the Call Of Duty franchise was delayed today (or dare we say… pushed back?) as lawyers on all three sides talk and discuss the idea of a possible settlement in this multi-million dollar case.

West has said, “a settlement could be more than money. I do have an issue, letting them get away with it and doing it to the next guy.”

Judge Elihu Berle recessed the case until 1:30pm PST do the lawyers can talk about options, according to the LA Times. After a half-hour of meeting between all sides, Activision lawyers met a lone for more than an hour. Lawyers for Activison have been quoted to saying to the lawyers for Jason West and Vincent Zampell “we’re still talking to our bosses.”

As of right now apparently discussions are still going on and a settlement could end a case that has been going on for two years now with about $2 billion at stake. However if there is no settlement, the judge has given an end date of July 2nd (which honestly I am not sure what that means).
