Last year Nintendo left it in the air about how many GamePads would work with the Wii U. It seemed that the console would only come with one and only be able to use one and added players would be able to join my way of using Wii controllers. Well people did not want so see that happen and Nintendo answered the call.
At this years E3 Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed that Wii U will support two GamePads–“just like the NES.”
There are no games mentioned this year or shown to use multiple GamePads. Which leads me to believe it wasn’t until recently that Nintendo made this decision. However there are games in development that will put to use two GamePads.
