Bethesda Talks New Vegas DLC Details

Sorry, we couldn't find the Ghost People..... Wait, where's everyone else?

If you have been following video game news, you would know that on Fallout: New Vegas‘s launch day developer Bethesda said that the first piece of DLC for the game would be 360 exclusive. Well, a couple of days ago in the Bethesda newsletter some more details were discussed about Dead Money, the first in many of DLC packs for New Vegas.

In Dead Money, the courier will be going inside the infamous Sierra Madre Casino to try to find a treasure buried deep within. The reason players could not access this area in the core game is explained by senior designer Chris Avellone. When the world went to hell in a handbag the casino’s security system locked the place down, trapping everyone inside and locking everyone else out. It also started releasing chemicals inside the casino killing most of the people inside. But not everyone died. According to Avellone “Only a mysterious group called the Ghost People survived to call the city home, trapped inside what appeared to be hazmat suits and never speaking to their victims… only capturing them alive and dragging them away to the depths of the city deep within the Cloud.” On top of this, players will new possible companions deep inside the dreaded casino that will help them get the treasure and survive the wrath of the Ghost People as well as the casino’s security system.

Like the DLC packs for Fallout 3, you will be able to access this content by a radio signal that you will pick out in the wasteland. Dead Money drops on XBLM Dec. 22 for 800 MS points
