Death's Door Prods

Darkstar’s GGCX Review

The holiday season always brings indie games dedicated to the season. This year Ludosity Interactive‘s brought GGC X to the marketplace. GGC X stands for Garden Gnome Carnage X-mas. This game is simple yet strangely addictive. It isn’t like the game has good graphics or great music, but its so easy to pick up and play till you want to play something more serious.

So let’s get to what the game is all about. Your a garden gnome and you have a serious problem with the Christmas spirit. So your goal is simple keep the elves from climbing the building and the Santas from landing on the roof. So you have tied yourself to the chimney and put the building on wheels. You jump off the roof and swing around bungee style as you roll the building left and right. All the while you can rip bricks off the wall to throw like grenades. Don’t worry you can replenish the bricks on the house if you let the black cat get to the roof. If you get into big trouble you can call in an air strike 3 times.

There is a bonus mini mode that you can earn by crushing those nasty little cheer bringers. You get points based on how hard you hit the elves or Santas. There is an online leaderboard for the game as well as a local leaderboard.

Now you may say this doesn’t sound fun, but download the trial it’s a lot more entertaining than I can really put into words. Maybe I just get a kick out of throwing bricks at Santa and his elves, but I liked this game.

Final Score: 3/5

My reason for the 3 instead of the 4 is that this game is very seasonal
