Sony Acquires Sci-Fi Script Epsilon by Zombieland Writers

Zombieland was a great movie, so I’ve been trying to keep an eye out for anything else from those guys. I’ve probably been failing but I did find this.

Sony has picked up the spec script for a sci-fi film called Epsilon, which was written by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. While it is about a robot apocalypse, it’s not your standard robo-pocalypse. See, in other movies, the robots win. In Epsilon, the robot uprising failed and while Earth is left without electronics, the robots all flee into space to plan their next move. The robots start growing humans to send back to Earth to serve as spies, but one man sees the light or something and “discovers he is more human than he thought.”

Michael DeLuca, a Sony-based producer, has been attached to produce the project along with Reese and Wernick. Some of DeLuca’s previous works include Loaded Weapon 1Dark CityAmerican History X, and Zathura. Shut up, I liked it.
