Scott Pilgrim DLC Coming This Week (Hopefully) [UPDATE: It Won’t]

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game came out almost three years ago (you can find my old ass and kinda shitty review here). One of the things people weren’t big fans of was the lack of online gameplay. Now, all these years later, Ubisoft is rectifying this by adding online play as well as a new DLC character.

Major Nelson, in a blog post about games and add-ons coming soon to XBLA, revealed that a new DLC add-on was going to be coming out this Wednesday. The pack will be adding online play, as well as my favorite character Wallace Wells. The add-on will run you 400 MSP, about $5.

I really enjoyed this game when I played it, and like I said, I love Wallace. He’s fucking awesome. I can’t think how he will fight, though. Wallace never came across to me as the physical type. I guess he could try snarking enemies to death.

Keep in mind, though, that in August of last year it was also announced that this DLC pack was coming and it never did. So keep your fingers crossed that it finally does see the light of XBLA on Wednesday.

The Scott Pilgrim Online Multiplayer + Wallace Pack will hopefully be coming on February 5th.

UPDATE:

Ubisoft sent an official statement to Destructoid saying that the DLC has been delayed once again.

The downloadable content for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game has been delayed for fine-tuning and to incorporate feedback from the passionate Scott Pilgrim community. Ubisoft is addressing feedback from the community on the best ways to honor retro games in the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game DLC in an accurate and respectful manner. Ubisoft, and the new team developing the DLC, respect creative properties and, of course, want to be sure to deliver a game experience that is a proper tribute to the Scott Pilgrim franchise.
