Assassin’s Creed IV DLC will have New Assassin

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will put you in the role of Edward Kenway, a swash-buckling pirate with a tendency for stabbing dudes in the face and neck. But if you know anything about pirate ships, then you know that there’s more than just the captain on board. So what about the rest of his crew? Can they free-run and stab with the best of them? Well, his first mate can, at least.

Best Buy recently posted a listing for the ACIV DLC season pass. The pass gets you DLC which has new single player missions, multiplayer content, and “new ways to personalize your pirate experience.” I guess you can pimp your ship or something. Some of the single player content will let you control Adewale, Kenway’s first mate and fellow assassin, as he hunts down his own targets for the good of the world. The synopsis on the Best Buy page said…

It is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean, terrorizing navies and humiliating empires. From sinking warships to conquering fortresses, Captain Edward Kenway stopped at nothing to earn his fortune and legend. Yet, the adventures of his first mate, Adewale, have never been revealed. Until now. Pre-order Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Season Pass now for the chance to play as Adewale, a new assassin who will take you even deeper into the real explosive events of the Golden Age of Pirates.

The pass will cost you $19.99 and apparently saves you $20, meaning ACIV will have $40 worth of DLC coming. Ubisoft really likes to go all out for their Assassin’s Creed DLC.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is coming to PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on October 29th in North America and November 1st in Europe, and to PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
