Death's Door Prods

One-Punch Man Gets Stars, Crew, and Studio

Earlier this month it was announced that One-Punch Man was being adapted into an anime. I had some very big worries about the show, but at the time we didn’t really know anything other than it was happening. Now we’ve gotten some more info on the series, including the trailer above, and I’m still a bit worried.

The anime is being directed Shingo Natsume, who recently directed Space Dandy, with production being handled by Madhouse. Scripting is being done by Tomohiro Suzuki (scripted a few episodes of Tiger & Bunny) and Robotics;Notes’ Chikashi Kubota is designing the characters. Speaking of characters, it was also announced that Saitama and Genos are being voiced by Makoto Furukawa (who is most known for doing background and secondary character voices) and Kaito Ishikawa (Ledo in Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Nine in Terror in Resonance), respectively.

For those who don’t know, Saitama is the eponymous One-Punch Man who wins all of his fights in a single punch. No one actually calls him One-Punch Man, though. His official hero name is Caped Baldy. Genos is Saitama’s disciple. He is a cyborg who is on the hunt for another cyborg who destroyed his home and killed his family.

One-Punch Man is set to premiere in October.
