CW Officially Announces New Superhero Show

For a while now the CW has been talking about their new show set in the Arrow/Flash universe. This past week they finally announced it for realsies.

The show will be called DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and will be premiering in the CW’s 2015-2016 season. Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave), and Victor Garber (Martin Stein) will all be reprising their roles for the series. Caity Lotz, who played Sara Lance in Arrow, will also be appearing, but we’re not quite sure who she’ll be playing yet.

We’ll also be getting some new faces in the mix. Arthur Darvill (Rory from Doctor Who) will be playing Rip Hunter, a time traveler. Ciara Renee will be playing Kendra Saunders, also known as Hawkgirl. Renee will make her debut as Kendra in the season finale of The Flash, airing next Tuesday, May 19th. Finally, Franz Drameh (Attack the BlockEdge of Tomorrow) will be playing a character called Jay Jackson. Jackson is not a pre-existing character as far as I can tell.
