Army of Four Accidentally Confirmed

Late last year  Kotaku learned, via sources, that EA Montreal is working on a project using the Frostbite 2.0 engine with four player co-op entitled Army of Four.  At that time, due to struggles, the team most likely called in members from DICE to help out. The tipster’s information was ignored until recently. In his Twitter post actor Joe Flanigan, best known for such TV shows as Warehouse 13, Fringe, and Stargate Atlantis, accidentally revealed the confirmation that Army of Four exists.

“Just signed on to do the new AO4 video game for Electronic Arts. Some splinter from Battlefield. Finally, my kids think I am cool again,” he tweeted. Um, whooops! Realizing his mistake he back-peddles his statement by saying, “Actually, showing how distinctively uncool I am, I think I have those games mixed up. Thank god my kids don’t read Twitter.”

It’s an interesting thought that the franchise is returning with yet another installment of implemented co-op. Let’s just hope, that this time around, EA can go beyond the collection of masks, and do it right.
