While Sony has not officially announced God of War: Ascension, I think it’s pretty safe to assume what with there being this teaser on the Playstation Facebook page. And this page on Amazon where you can pre-order the game. And the trailer below that was released on the Amazon page.
That product description on Amazon says, “Join Kratos as he seeks freedom, redemption, and the clarity to avenge his family in the most ambitious God of War adventure in the series so far.”, and from everything the trailer says it looks like this game will be a prequel to the series thus far. Not sure whether it will be taking place before Chains of Olympus, the first God of War prequel, but it’s pretty likely and we will get to find out this holiday season. If Amazon is right God of War: Ascension is due out December 31st, 2012.
