Team Meat Announced Next Game About Cats

Team Meat have been hard at work over the last few months working on other versions of their fantastic platformer Super Meat Boy. Somewhere along the way, though, they found the time to have themselves a little game jam and came up with their next project.

Mew-Genics, as the poster above says, is a game about cats in some capacity. According to Edmund McMillen, the art side of Team Meat, Mew-Genics is “by far the strangest project I’ve ever worked on.. and that’s saying something.” Considering his other works include a sentient blob of meat trying to get a living bandage from a fetus in a jar and small naked child signing deals with Satan to fight off bugs and weird zombie things with tears of blood, that really is saying something.

Edmund went on to say that things are progressing at a good pace for the game and that we should be getting some more details soon. While he didn’t say too much that was actually about the game, he did say that it would be randomly generated, it will be strange, and there will be cats.
