Another Week of What’s New in the New 52 Updates

“What’s New in the New 52” is still going strong over on the DC Source Blog, so here’s another round up of the past week’s updates.

When the New 52 started, every #1 issue had an appearance by Pandora, a strange woman who had a hand to play in the formation of the new universe. What was she doing in all those books? Well, we’re going to be finding out next month in Trinity of Sin: Pandora. The book will be taking a look at all the #1s she appeared in, but from her point of view. It actually sounds pretty cool.

Next, we have the return of Count Vertigo in issue 22 of Green Arrow. I know very little about the Count and I don’t read Green Arrow so I don’t really have much of an opinion on this. But I gotta say, the new design for the Count is pretty cool. In the story, Oliver Queen will take something precious away from the Count so the he swears vengeance.

Finally we have a new group of villains for Buddy Baker, who’s gone through some shit recently. They are the Splinterfolk, a group of extreme animal activists. But they don’t just want to save the animals, they want to be the animals. So through science or magic or some combination of the two, they’ve fused themselves with animals and turned themselves into these horrible monstrosity things that look fucking fantastic. I love Animal Man.

That does it for this week. We’ll be giving you guys more as we get it.
