New Gundam Series

Gundam has been around for what seems like forever. With over 30 series, OVAs and movies, another series seemed inevitable. But this is a bit of a surprise. Gunpla Builders Beginning G, the new series from Sunrise, is more of a spin-off series than canon. Gunpla is a shortened way of saying “Gundam plastic models.” The premise of the show is that any kid can go out, buy and build a Gunpla, put it inside a weird orb scanner thing (that has eyes, for whatever reason) and battle other Gunpla builders. Are the Gundams fighting actually Gundams, 3D replicas, or the models themselves, we’ll just have to wait until the series airs.
